The United States of America is one of the biggest state contributors for global health efforts. Attention towards the health sector has been integrated in the United States of America’s foreign policy. The implementation of such policy is not limited to assist and support states who are struggling to overcome health-related challenges, however, there are other strategic interests to be achieved through this policy. In the practical level, a pandemic case is one of the biggest challenges to be faced. In 2009, a new case of pandemic emerged causing a global health crisis. As a result, the state's strategic interests were disturbed, especially in their commitment towards global health efforts. Qualitative research method is utilized to identify the United States of America policy in the practice of Global Health Diplomacy. As a result, it is concluded that there are changes on the United States of America Approach for Global Health Diplomacy Implementation during 2019 - 2020 due to Coronavirus Disease-2019 pandemic. It is marked by the increasing preference for Core Global Health Diplomacy Practice rather than Multi-Stakeholder Diplomacy which involves international organization. These changes are observed based on the United States of America Global Health Diplomacy practice with other states as well as their relationship with international organizations like the World Health Organization. |
