THE EFFORT TO ACHIEVE ZERO ACCIDENT IN PT. TRISTAR MAKMUR KARTONINDO PRODUCTION AREA

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of occupational safety, work communication, and working environment towards the effort to achieve zero accident in PT. Tristar Makmur Kartonindo production area. Total number of this research’s respondents are 70 consists of 3 divisions. The researcher used Quantitative Method as the method of this research. Data analysis techniques that were used are multiple linear regression coefficients and F-testing to test the simultaneous influence with significant of 5% (α = 0.05). The result of this research is, occupational safety and work environment has no partial significance influence, while work communication has partial significance influence by 0.324. For the F-test, the significance level is .000 which is lower than α (0.05), with F value of 9.517. Therefore, Occupational safety, work environment, and work communication does simultaneously significant towards the effort to achieve zero accident. The value of adjusted R2 is .27 or 27%. It defines that, the three independent variables in this research affect the effort to achieve zero accident by 27%, which the rest 73% is influenced by other variables outside or not mentioned in this research. Other variables could be a very sensitive data for this company such as working time, occupational health, job satisfaction, job performance, salary, etc.
