Abstract:
Bitcoin is one of the cryptographic-based virtual currencies used as a means of
payment by certain communities. Bitcoin experienced a very rapid development
until its peak in 2017 rose drastically at the end of the year to reach $ 20,000 per
coin, but the value of Bitcoin was very volatile so that at the beginning of 2018
Bitcoin experienced a very bad performance down to the price of $ 13,440 per
coin. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of trust, security, and ease
of use decision on buying Bitcoin. The methodology used in this research is a
quantitative methodology. The population in the study is Indonesian people who
have ever bought Bitcoin. The sample used was 153 respondents who answered
the questionnaire. The analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear
regression and the results of the study show that the variables of trust, security,
and convenience significantly influence Bitcoin both individually and together
(simultaneously). Adjusted R square in this study was 0.605.
