dc.description.abstract With the development of social media, smartphones are replacing computers. College students use WeChat to become a problem. Therefore, this study studies the use of WeChat by college students. A variety of emerging social networking technologies are emerging, with the most profound impact, and WeChat currently has hundreds of millions of users. As the most active group in the group era, college students are also the main users of WeChat. At the university level, there was no intense learning pressure and most high school students began to socialize. Due to the growth of college students in the era of science and technology information, quite a lot of social life is based on the Internet, and the quality of social life affects the mental health of college students. For students, the WeChat social circle is affecting social and social networks. Researchers have focused this research on WeChat. This study attempts to find out the role of WeChat in college students' daily life and the potential security risks of WeChat. The innovation of this paper lies in the perspective of communication studies and analyzes the role of college students' social life in the reaction of social phenomena. In the existing literature, there are relatively many studies on college students' social life literature, but college students establish relevant literature on social platforms. Social life or less, the article is to study college students using social media platforms, rather than continue to explore in depth, this paper will make up for vacancies. This study used a qualitative approach, the main data of which was obtained through in-depth interviews. The researchers found 10 males from different professions and 10 students from 5 women. In order to find relevant conclusions, a variety of research methods were obtained in the research process. First, before conducting the field investigation, I found a lot of literature, literature about combs at home and abroad, and an overview of relevant scholars. Field research in this area. Secondly, using the questionnaire survey method, the investigators are obtained in the form of random sampling, and the questionnaire is completed. Finally: Based on the results of the questionnaire, I designed a structured interview and dig deeper. Through the investigation and analysis, the following conclusions are drawn: WeChat in college students' interpersonal communication has both positive and negative effects. The positive effect is that WeChat can make college students more closely establish the reality of interpersonal relationship; WeChat can further satisfy the expression of college students' emotional appeals; let students have a stronger sense of belonging. Negative influence: College students are over-indulged in WeChat, easy to waste time, generate social dependence, and reality; WeChat privacy contacts college students and affects normal life; the use of certain characteristics of WeChat destroys social climate and affects the physical and mental health of college students. en_US
