Abstract:
This study aims to provide the analysis regarding the Role of the Embassy of Timor-Leste in Kuala Lumpur particularly on promoting the Cooperation between Timor-Leste and Malaysia in the crucial sectors for the development of Timor-Leste such as Capacity Building, Economy, Education, and Defence within the time frame 2002 until 2019. The research method used by the author is the qualitative research method consider that this type of research method is suitable to explain about the phenomenon being analyse that will be interpreted in words. Through this research, the author found that both Timor-Leste and Malaysia have enjoying close and strong bilateral ties even Timor-Leste was in its transitional era consider that Malaysia give its continuous support and assistance for the development of Timor-Leste in which cooperation in the different areas have been established between them. Similarly, Timor-Leste as a reciprocate support, ready to give its support to Malaysia whenever it is needed. The cooperation between the two countries is under the acknowledgement and coordination of the diplomatic mission of Timor-Leste in Kuala Lumpur. Therefore, to ensure that their cooperation remain stable and has the continuity, the Embassy of Timor-Leste in Kuala Lumpur on its part continuously execute its representative and cooperative role as well as the functions that stated in the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations 1961’s article 3.
