Abstract:
The confrontation between Iran and the US that took place in the Strait of Hormuz is a conflictthat worries the world because the conflict has disrupted the world's global oil supply. As is known to the public, one-fifth of the world's oil supply passes through the strait. Oil is a vital need for a country because it is a source of industrial driving force. Especially when entering the 21st century, with the demands of globalization that every country is forced to spur its economic growth, the industrial world is increasingly being encouraged. So, it is not surprisingthat the confrontation between Iran and the US in the Strait of Hormuz has worried the world,because this could hamper the economic growth of many countries in the world. Iran's threat to close the Strait of Hormuz is not without reason. They did this because the US withdrew from the JCPOA agreement which had previously made relations between the two countries improve. Through the JCPOA agreement, the sanctions imposed by the West on Iranare removed, and therefore Iran's economy can grow. But after the US withdrew from the deal,they reinstated sanctions that had previously been removed. Iran, who felt aggrieved by the US's attitude, fought back by threatening to close the Strait of Hormuz.
