Abstract:
This research aims to discuss about the border dispute between India and China. The Boundary Dispute between India and People’s Republic of China included as the prolonged dispute that happened until the present time. This dispute become prolonged as the result of the absence of solutions to solve the dispute. The bilateral relations between India and China have happened for a long time, which implemented in many aspects namely economic, political, and cultural. The border dispute between India and China is important to be discussed due to its influence to others bilateral relations. This research focused on the eastern secto of the disputed areas, namely Arunachal Pradesh, Where both states have their national interests. This research use the qualitative method in explaining the topic with the sources of Government documents, books, journals, and online sources. The Government of India and China have implemented some solutions, however did not found the Border Dispute Settlement. In achieving their national interests, India and China implemented Defence Diplomacy through diplomatic negotiations. Diplomatic efforts implemented in varied form such as conduction of Border talks, Joint Working Group (JWG), and agreements. However, the boundary dispute between India and China have not been settle yet, because both India and China agreed to postponed the settlement of the dispute, due to their national interests.
