Abstract:
Migration has developed into an international issue because it can impact destination countries. For example, Rohingya migrants, who immigrated because of forced migration due to discriminatory actions and persecution by the Myanmar government, made these ethnic groups seek asylum in several neighboring countries. Bangladesh is a favorite destination country because of its open-door policy, geography, and socio-cultural factors. On the other hand, Bangladesh has received the impact of the Rohingya refugee crisis. Especially in 2017, there was a massive Immigrant Influx causing a threat to Bangladesh's security which caused the government to change its policy direction. This paper focuses on explaining the reasons for the policy changes carried out by the Bangladesh government, using the theory of Foreign Policy Making to make it easier to analyze what factors cause foreign policy changes. And use the five dimensions of security concept approach to classifying any threats that arise. With this paper, it is hoped that the reader can understand the background of the Policy changes carried out by the Bangladesh government on the Rohingya influx.
