Abstract:
Improvisation is a spontaneous creation when an actor plays a role. In film directing, several directors often providing space for actors to interpret the script and the director's direction according to their own implementation. This is believed by some directors as the right way so that the acting performance of the main character can reflect the everyday spontaneity of ordinary people. This research aims to understand how Improvisation in short film could
represent the feelings of the main character of ‘Bicara’. Most of the data in this research is taken from scenes in the short film ‘Bicara’ which later are connected with the theories. The result of this research shows that the important scenes presented in this movie is an improvised scene. This research shows that the particular scene can represent the feeling of the main character because of the space provided by the director of the movie so the actor
could interpret the script by his own interpretation.
