Abstract:
Nowadays, entrereneurship have a high number in countries and contribute to the
development of the economy. This research was conducted due to the lack of
entrepreneur that graduated from President University and it focuses on several
variables that may influence the interest in entrepreneurhip. This become a
problem since the President University student form to be an entrepreneur. This
study aims to investigate the effects of entrepreneurial knowledge, self-efficacy,
and entrepreneurial character on the interest in entrepreneurship. This was a
quantitative study employing the ex post facto design. The research population
comprised students of President University. The sampling technique was the nonprobability
sampling with snowball methods and the sample consisted of 250
students. The data were collected through a multiple choice test and a
questionnaire. They were analyzed by means of multiple regression analysis. The
results of the study are as follows; There are influence of the entrepreneurial
knowledge, self-efficacy, and entrepreneurial character towards the interest in
entrepreneurship. There is an influence of the entrepreneurial knowledge towards
the interest in entrepreneurship. There is an influence of the self-efficacy towards
the interest in entrepreneurship. There is an influence of the entrepreneurial
character towards the interest in entrepreneurship.
