Abstract:
Indonesia has designed various bilateral, regional, and multilateral forums with friendly countries.
Bilateral Cooperation is Cooperation or relations between two countries that aim to benefit both parties
mutually. To be able to optimize the cooperation relationship between the two countries in all fields,
the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation (BKSAP), as one of the board organs in the House of
Representatives of The Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI), formed 102 Bilateral Cooperation Groups
(GKSB), one of which is the GKSB DPR RI-Colombia Parliament. Diplomacy Public Diplomacy is the
process by which the government communicates with the people of other countries to mediate the
understanding of the country that is in line with national goals and not in line with politics. Focusing
on economic relations between countries is one of the focuses of economic diplomacy. Economic
diplomacy aims to achieve national interests. Efforts that can be made to achieve these national benefits
are cooperating in the fields of trade, investment, and other efforts that can help improve each country's
economy. Some of the goals of diplomacy are to improve the country's economy; in addition to
promoting trade, another goal is to reduce trade barriers. Some of the scope of these efforts is to conduct
negotiations, trade-related talks, and bilateral and multilateral trade agreements. Another purpose of
economic diplomacy is to encourage and attract investment from various countries and also facilitate
related investment. Another role played by economic diplomacy is to defend and safeguard national
economic interests in the face of global economic challenges.
