Abstract:
In the digital age, e-commerce has become an indispensable part of daily life, including the
furniture industry. One of the main challenges of selling furniture online is providing consumers
with a full visual experience so they can imagine how the product will look and fit in their space.
This project provides a catalog of furniture products and integrates Augmented Reality
technology by utilizing the SLAM algorithm, which allows users to preview furniture in real-world
context with high precision and in real-time. The SLAM algorithm allows for simultaneous
mapping and localization, allowing 3D furniture models to be accurately placed in the user's space,
even when the user is moving.
The application development process includes several key phases such as user requirement
analysis, user interface (UI) design, back-end and front-end development, integration of
Augmented Reality modules with SLAM, etc. The Augmented Reality technology used is
compatible with the latest mobile platforms such as Augmented RealityKit for iOS and Augmented
RealityCore for Android, which support SLAM functionality.
The main objective of utilizing Augmented Reality and SLAM algorithms to create an
application for an online furniture store is to provide a more interactive and accurate user
experience, allowing users to feel more confident in their decisions since they can see the product
visualization directly and accurately within their own space.
