Abstract:
In its development, the keris was not only seen as a physical work of art, but also had
certain meanings and symbols. The artistic value of the keris lies in the various
elements that support it, including the form of carvings, warangka, ornaments or
carvings (ricikan) on the blade, and metal paintings called pamor, meaning that the
appearance of a keris is said to have perfect aesthetic and artistic value, if it is The
complete whole, the knife blade with its prestige, the carvings or upstream and the true
warangka become one complete unit. The message of the spread of mass media to
various levels of society makes it a very important role in disseminating information in
educating and inspiring a wider audience, including the younger generation who may
have limited knowledge about keris. The aim of the project with the title report is to
educate the public through visualization, narrative, and sound with a deeper
understanding based on facts and accurate data about the journey of the keris and
increase awareness of the importance of cultural heritage. Through this final project,
the author realizes that the keris is not mystical because it is driven by several factors
in the material it is made from.
