| dc.description.abstract | In movies, metaphors are useful tools for expressing difficult ideas and feelings via symbolic imagery. They give tales depth by expressing abstract ideas both through language and non-verbal means. Within "Life in a Fishbowl," the fishbowl metaphor conveys the core of child exploitation by symbolizing the protagonist's continual monitoring and lack of privacy as a kid influencer. In Psychoanalysis and the Cinema, Christian Metz claims that metaphors increase the audience's emotional and intellectual engagement by engaging their unconscious. Filmmakers use metaphors to convey deeper meanings, giving their stories more impact and stimulating quality. | en_US |
