In movies, metaphors are useful tools for expressing difficult ideas and feelings via
symbolic imagery. They give tales depth by expressing abstract ideas both through
language and non-verbal means. Within "Life in a Fishbowl," the fishbowl metaphor
conveys the core of child exploitation by symbolizing the protagonist's continual
monitoring and lack of privacy as a kid influencer. In Psychoanalysis and the Cinema,
Christian Metz claims that metaphors increase the audience's emotional and intellectual
