Abstract:
Mental health issues are now a global concern, especially among adolescents and
young people. Many people in Indonesia are reluctant to seek treatment due to social stigma
and limited access to professional services, which makes feelings of isolation and stress.
While social media platforms provide people with environment for self-expression, they
often lack supportive, in person interactions, further worsens mental health issues. To fill
these gaps in mental health care, this study presents Sahari, an AI-powered microblogging
platform. The AI Reply System, the Explain Post System, and Search Engine are essential
aspects that Sahari incorporates. The AI Reply System responds to user posts in real time
with empathy. In the meanwhile, the Explain Post System produces psychoeducational
insights that assist users in understanding the psychological and emotional context of their
postings and offer resources for additional assistance. By providing real-time, empathetic
participation for sensitive topics like anxiety, despair, and suicidal thoughts, the AI Reply
System seeks to close the gap between users' emotional needs and the support that is
available. By giving users insights about their mental health expressions, the Explain Post
System helps users become more self-aware and understand their emotional states. The
study evaluates how well these features improve information clarity, user engagement, and
the feeling of emotional support. According to the research, Sahari provides the internet a
safer and more encouraging place, especially for people in Indonesia, where there is
frequently a lack of mental health resources. Sahari helps to improve access to mental
health resources and reduce stigma by implementing culturally appropriate AI solutions.
