Abstract:
Nowadays, start-ups struggle in facing dynamic and competitive markets. This
research aims to analyze start-up success factors based on transformational
leadership as the key. PT. Satu Ekspor Indonesia known as 1Export Indonesia is the
3rd office that entered the Indonesian market in 2021 under the authority of
Multinational Company called 1Export. 1Export is start-up pitch that provide one-
stop platform for cross-border trade and fulfilment services. During the internship
period, the researcher experienced how the leaders has been greatly impacted
company growth as start-up company. The research explores how transformational
leaders inspire, guide, and motivate their employees to achieve higher performance
levels that will have a great impact to the company’s growth. The research methods
implement descriptive qualitative research that is objectively examined from the
literature reviews, observations, and interviews conducted at 1Export Indonesia
Start-up by leveraging design thinking approach to address company’s growth. The
subjects for this research were determined using purposive sampling and the
informants determined in this research through in-depth interviews with employees
across multiple departments at 1Export Indonesia. The research shows positive
results that transformational has become an important instrumental in terms of
creating a productive and innovative work environment which has become a legit
foundation for the company’s growth. Thus, these findings offer valuable insights
for start-up companies to build sustainable development in competitive
environments.
