These violations may take many forms: deliberate persecution due to reasons of religion, political views, racial background and the denial of fundamental civil, political, economic and social rights. This is specifically apparent in the ongoing crisis caused by Syrian Arab Republic conflict. Since the beginning of the Syrian conflict in 2011, many have fled the country and settled in neighboring state, with the intention of seeking asylum. Currently, there are 4 million Syrian refugees registered by the United Nation High Commissioner for Refugee. The study has obtained that Protection towards international refugees is regulated under the 1951 Convention and the 1967 Protocol Relating to the Status of Refugee. This convention is a United Nations multilateral treaty that defines who is a refugee, and sets the rights those seeking asylum and the responsibility of hosting sates of an asylum seeker.
