Abstract:
In a society where technological inventions are taken advantage to enhance people’s quality standard of living, electronic banking is becoming an indispensable utility. One of those E-banking services is online banking. Online banking helps people handle personal finances and information easier. In Vietnam, a lot of banks have been offering these advanced services. However, the adoption rate of this technology by Vietnamese consumers is at low level. This thesis was conducted aiming at analyzing the current application of Online banking in Vietnam, finding out the factors that affect the users’ acceptance, and forecasting whether Online banking in Vietnam will develop in the future. The data for this research was collected from relevant books, reports, and journals to investigate the current situation of Online banking service and besides, a survey was delivered to test the factors affecting customers’ acceptance. Multiple regression was using as tool to analyze data for this research. Based on all the findings, some expectations about the future of Online banking in Vietnam were inferred. After all, the research came to the conclusion that Online banking in Vietnam is in its growing stage and it is expected to strongly develop in the future.
