Abstract:
The terms about financial planning is new hot topic in Indonesia. One crucial theme on financial planning is money attitude. But, not many expertise talk about money attitude in Indonesia. The objectives of this research were to investigate CeweQuat community members’ attitude toward money and to use the result as the degree of the awareness of the community members about their attitude towards money. There are only few study about money attitude implemented in Indonesia, by seeing this fact it shows that the awareness of money attitude is not quites. This research will be useful for policy makers especially in terms of making money policy. This research was designed using quantitative research, which involves analysis of factor to determine the dominant factors and also K-means cluster analysis to identify three groups of respondents. The questionnaire survey using five-points Likert-scale Money Attitude Scale constructed by Yamauchi and Templer (1982).
The factor analysis in this research resulted the factor most influence in attitudes toward money of the respondents. The factor analysis interpret that anxiety is the most factor influence the respondents attitude towards money. While the K-means cluster analysis resulted 3 cluster, there are 61 respondents belong to confident consumers, 53 respondents belong to careless spenders and 64 respondents belong to conscious planners.
