Abstract

Educational industry is one of the most important service industry in order to improve the standard quality of students who is willing to learn. Lampung, Tanjung Karang is one of the large city with many formal learning institutions. However, this area lack of the tutoring and learning institution for the students who has problem in their studies or intend to prepare themselves for the examination, whether it is for school exam or national examination. With a few tutoring center in this region, this makes the Tanjung Karang region as promising business in educational service industry to be established. MAXIM Tutoring and Learning Center is new tutoring learning center in Tanjung Karang, which offer knowledge for the students who wish to learn and improve themselves according to the standard of educations. We provide the students with the basic material that they learnt from school and help them in understanding those material and easier to understand explanations if they don’t understand. MAXIM also provide the students with the study material that harder and advanced for the students to solve so they would be able to understand and capable in implementing what they learned from this tutoring center. Educational sector is the business that always increasing from year to year. As long as there’s a students who wished to learned and improve themselves, this business at the very least would be stable compared to the other industry. This business has good potential to survive and expand their market. Because most of the parents wish for their children to be able to improve their grade and graduate from their school with good grades, the parents would be willing to expend the money for their own children to improve their studies. The target market for this business is the students. But our main target is the parents who has a children which already attending the school. This because the parent, especially mother would be very concerned with their children academic performance. They would always concern if their children academic v

performance in school if their performance are below the standard. Their concern would only increase when their children are promoted to next grade, especially when their children were already in their final grade where there’s national, final, and the school entrance examination. That is why we provide tutoring and learning center in order to help the children to improve their capabilities so the parents can rest easily for their children progress. MAXIM Tutoring and Learning Center implement a standard concept of promotions to its customer. MAXIM will do standard promotional activities such as partnership with local school, promotion through pamphlet and brochure from house to house, and advertisement through popular local radio channel. The company will be managed by the owner and helped by group of relatives who has experience as teacher in their time. There are other team member as administration staff, front desk, marketing manager, etc. Every member who works in MAXIM have to obey the code of conduct of the company so that the best service can be offered to the customer of MAXIM. Educational Industry has good growth and stable seasonal business throughout the year.
