Abstract:
Implementing digital transformation in business process is a challenge for
organization. The objective of this study is to examine the employee perception
regarding the effectiveness of HR roles by Ulrich and Brockbank which are consists
of human capital developer, HR leader, employee advocate, strategic partner and
functional expert roles in implementing company’s digital transformation. This
research used quantitative method as the research methodology. Data was processed
with factor analysis method and SPSS 25. This study uses primary data with 220
respondents of employees in Jabodetabek area. The result shows that there are three
factors that contribute to the effectiveness of HR roles in implementing company’s
digital transformation which are employee advocate, HR leader and human capital
developer. Results also revealed that respondents perceive the most effective role
of HR among the five variables is the role of being a human capital developer. With
this research, the researcher has provide information regarding current HR situation
especially related to the HR roles in implementing company’s digital
transformation.
