Abstract:
This journal discusses further about Health Communication: The Role of Interpersonal Communication to Decrease the Accusative of Mental Illness (Major Depressive Disorder Case). The purpose of this study is to find out the main cause of Major Depressive Disorder in Young Adults and also to find out how important the role of interpersonal communication in decreasing the depression that mostly happened in young adults. People who live with Mental Illness are having different thoughts than ordinary people. They would love to keep all the secrets behind the smile and closed them tightly from the society. The method used will be qualitative research specialized on phenomenology approach; focuses on observations and interviews rather than the manipulation of variables, tests, surveys or questionnaires. By using in-depth interview, data were collected from four females aged 18 to 22 years old. The participants are people with depression experience especially in young adults and college student, and the sample chosen is random, the sample comes from different ages, background, and environment. All participants have been recovered from Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) By using the role of two-way interaction such as sharing and revealing some information through face two face communication and by phone. In another word, all participants believe that exchange of thoughts, information, and experiences can be the best way to find out the solution.
