Abstract:
Several hacking cases that occurred in Indonesia are one of the cases that are currently happening. Several other electronic platforms or systems, especially e-commerce, often experience hacking from third parties on their systems. Hacking actions can have a bigger impact because if hacking occurs on an electronic platform or system, a number of Personal Data that is being managed by the organizer can be traded by hackers who have managed to break into it, even some of this Personal Data can be misused by hackers. Tokopedia has also experienced hacking. Tokopedia is an e-commerce, one of which has experienced hacking, which resulted in hackers breaking into a number of Personal Data, which previously amounted to 15 million to 91 million user data.1 From the Tokopedia hacking case, it is necessary to implement the responsibility for protecting Personal Data managed by the organizer of the electronic platform or system, namely Tokopedia. Because the Personal Data that leaked was large and detrimental to users of the platform or electronic system. In terms of Law Number 11 the Year 2008 and Law Number 19 the Year 2016 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions which are still limited. In encouraging the security of personal data in data hacking activities that take place on electronic platforms or systems in Indonesia, many government measures can be improved. Therefore, the urgency of the personal data protection law is urgently needed and the hope is that it will be passed soon.
