Abstract:
Indonesia is country with largest archipelago and rich with natural resources and tropical, it is known for their beautiful location of tourism and also known for their culinary food because it owns a unique taste from Sabang to Marauke. Besides from promoting Indonesia through their nation branding, government implement gastro diplomacy program in some countries to promote about Indonesia’s tour and culture. This time the target of Indonesia’s gastro diplomacy was located in China. In a collaboration of gastro diplomacy with nation branding, government has built a restaurant called ‘Wonderful Indonesia’ restaurant in the Anhui and Luoyang province. Author used qualitative research and collects information from the secondary sources such as news, media, journals, articles and Ministry official website. This research aims to analyze the successful of Indonesia’s gastro diplomacy program as a tool to spread Indonesia’s culture through culinary to China’s citizens and analyze the effect of this gastro diplomacy program between Indonesia and China.
