the field of culture as state actor. Cultural Diplomacy becomes the basis for
cooperation between countries on culture and also creates institutions in the country.

promote and introduce culture in Indonesia 2017-2018. This study aims to analyze The
Role of Indonesian Korean Cultural Center in Order to Promote Culture in Indonesia
2017-2018. It practices qualitative analysis with the theoretical concept of Cultural
Diplomacy and Public Diplomacy. The study found that the Korean Cultural Center's
role in promoting Korean culture in Indonesia uses two roles: creating events and social
media to promote culture in Indonesia. With the increase of events from 2017-2018
carried out by KCCI as a state actor and showing people's interest in Korean culture
also increased. In spreading Korean culture in Indonesia, non-state actors also have an
impact making the development of fans in Indonesia continue to grow. This is
evidenced by the increase in the average number of fans from the 2017-2018 data. The
results of this study indicate that the contribution of the government's role is very
important in spreading culture in the international world and the destination country.
