Abstract:
Purpose – This research’s purpose is to find out the influence of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment, perceived risk, subjective norms, toward intention to use fintech, and the influence of intention to use fintech towards actual fintech use among people in Indonesia.
Design/Methodology – This research used a quantitative method using an online questionnaire consisted of 35 questions as a tool for data collection. The online questionnaire was spread using the purposive sampling technique to 445 Indonesians that use Fintech services in Indonesia. Structural Equation Model becomes the technical analysis of this research and the data was analyzed by using a statistical software.
Findings – This research found that subjective norms and perceived enjoyment influence users’ intention to use Fintech services and users’ intention to use influences actual usage of the service. While other independent variables (perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived risk) confirmed otherwise.
Implications – This research could contribute to enhance knowledge about the topic being studied which is Fintech acceptance using the TAM model. From the managerial perspective, this research could help the Fintech companies in attracting people in using Fintech despite all the issues surrounding the industry in which in this case, the companies should be more focusing on increasing current users’ enjoyment in using the service in order to create beliefs that could lure many more people to use (subjective norms).
